This inspection is a thorough evaluation of any residential property, including prefabricated, log cabins, manufactured homes, and condominiums. We’ll inspect the visible and readily accessible areas of the structure to determine the overall condition of the property while identifying defects. After you receive your inspection report, please feel free to call us with any questions. We are here to help you make well-informed decisions.
The inspection includes the following areas of a home:
Foundation & Crawl Spaces
Driveways & Walkways
Grading & Drainage
Deck & Balcony
Exterior (doors, windows, cladding, soffits, fascias)
Interior (doors, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, stairs)
Attic, Insulation, & Ventilation
Heating & Cooling Systems
most Built-in kitchen Appliances
*Per the ASHI Standards of Practice
For confined spaces and other inaccessible areas, a borescope may be used at no extra cost to complete the inspection as intended. If we suspect an area of the home to harbor excessive moisture levels, a moisture meter may be used to obtain a precise reading so that we can properly diagnose the issue.
We also offer the following inspection services:
Light Commercial Inspection
This inspection is designed for most modest to medium-sized commercial properties. We’re able to inspect a broad range of property types, ranging from storefronts and small warehouses to wineries. A thorough evaluation of the commercial property will allow you to learn about the structure’s strengths and weaknesses as well as any operational issues with the property’s mechanical systems before you make a decision about an investment.
Before you finish making the listing for a home that you’re trying to sell, you should schedule this inspection. We’ll arrive at the home to comprehensively inspect the readily accessible areas, identifying any possible defects or areas of the home in need of immediate maintenance. This way, when a prospective buyer schedules their own inspection, you’ll have already disclosed known issues so that negotiations aren’t compromised by the results of the inspection.
New Construction Inspection
It’s a huge sigh of relief to know that your new home is safe and free from major defects when it’s time to move in—but how can you know? This inspection will make it clear whether or not a newly constructed home has any defects that need to be taken care of by the builders before you’re given the keys. We recommend scheduling this service prior to the builder’s final walkthrough of the property so that any necessary repair work can be completed in a timely manner.
So, you had your inspection and successfully negotiated for some or all major or unsafe defects to be repaired. However, now you are concerned about the quality of repairs and the overall safety of your investment. Be at ease, we can help with that too. For a fee, we will return to the property to evaluate repairs so you can regain your peace of mind and proceed with confidence. Helping you be informed is our goal and we take it seriously.
Honesty Property Inspections is committed to doing a thorough job for every client, evaluating properties with the utmost attention to detail so that your inspection report will present nothing but the facts.
